Detrusor muscle
Smooth muscle in the wall of the urinary bladder that contracts the bladder to expel urine.

Detrusor-External Sphincter Dyssynergia (DESD)
"A condition caused when the bladder muscles try to contract to empty the bladder, but the external sphincter muscle will not open. This makes it difficult or impossible for you to urinate. Patients have DESD because some of their nerves have been damaged by injury or disease."

Dribbling after urination
Passing a small amount of urine after the completion of urination.

External urinary sphincter
A muscle around the urine canal that opens and closes to allow the flow of urine.

Frequency
A need to urinate often.
