Richard's Story: Cystectomy With Urethral Neobladder
I am very new to the need for a clamp. I just had a radical cystectomy
with a urethral neobladder and am learning how to adjust to using "new"
muscle control to regain full (or at least "reasonable" continence).
I am only 3.5 weeks out of surgery. During this process I am using
ActiCuf as a "training aid". It seems to be working quite well.
Since at times during the day I am beyond the "light to moderate" range
I remove the "bag". I still need to wear a form of "protection", but this
seems to work quite well. It is totally comfortable, which is a big surprise
since I never needed to wear anything like this before. I want to thank
you for your prompt and of course positive and reassuring response and
for your "elegant" product. I define elegant as simple and cost effective
since without the "bag" attached one clamp lasts essentially "forever".
It's not good for your bottom line but effective from the user point of
view. And it works!!!!!!
Hopefully as time progresses, I will regain (relearn) more control,
and at some point I will only need the ActiCuf with the "bag" attached.
That would be a step up from my current operational configuration!
